Grappie op whatsapp: THE MIDDLE WIFE! The 'Middle Wife' by an Anonymous 2nd grade teacher... I've been teaching now for about fifteen years. I have two kids myself, but the best birth story I know is the one I saw in my own second grade classroom a few years back. When I was a kid, I loved show-and-tell. So I always have a few sessions with my students. It helps them get over shyness and usually, show-and-tell is pretty tame. Kids bring in pet turtles, model airplanes, pictures of fish they catch, stuff like that. And I never, ever place any boundaries or limitations on them. If they want to lug it in to school and talk about it, they're welcome. Well, one day this little girl, Erica, a very bright, very outgoing kid, takes her turn and waddles up to the front of the class with a pillow stuffed under her sweater. She holds up a snapshot of an infant. 'This is Luke, my baby brother, and I'm going to tell you about his birthday.' 'First, Mom and Dad made him as a symbol of their love, and then Dad put a seed in my Mom's stomach, and Luke grew in there. He ate for nine months through an umbrella cord.' She's standing there with her hands on the pillow, and I'm trying not to laugh and wishing I had my camcorder with me. The kids are watching her in amazement. 'Then, about two Saturdays ago, my Mom starts going, 'Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh!' Erica puts a hand behind her back and groans. 'She walked around the house for, like an hour, 'Oh, oh, oh!' (Now this kid is doing a hysterical duck walk and groaning.) 'My Dad called the middle wife. She delivers babies, but she doesn't have a sign on the car like the Domino's man. They got my Mom to lie down in bed like this.' (Then Erica lies down with her back against the wall.) 'And then, pop! My Mom had this bag of water she kept in there in case he got thirsty, and it just blew up and spilled all over the bed, like psshhheew!' (This kid has her legs spread with her little hands miming water flowing away. It was too much!) 'Then the middle wife starts saying 'push, push,' and 'breathe, breathe. They started counting, but never even got past ten. Then, all of a sudden, out comes my brother. He was covered in yucky stuff that they all said it was from Mom's play-center, so there must be a lot of toys inside there. When he got out, the middle wife spanked him for crawling up in there in the first place.' Then Erica stood up, took a big theatrical bow and returned to her seat. I'm sure I applauded the loudest. Ever since then, when it's Show-and-tell day, I bring my camcorder, just in case another 'Middle Wife' comes along. Now you have two choices...laugh and close this page or pass this along to someone else to spread the laughs. I know what I did!!!

Leeu slaan vir Hiëna vol bloukolle. Bobbejaan sit in die boom en bekyk die hele storie. Na die hengse groot fight kom Hiëna (flenters gemoker) na Bobbejaan en vra vir hom, "Hoekom kom help jy my nie man? Daai leeu het my amper vrek geslaan, dis nie eers snaaks nie." Bobbejaan kyk hom so en sê: "Jy het so lekker gegiggel, ek dog jy wen die fight." 🙂

A Muslim man in Egypt killed his wife because she was reading the Bible and then buried her with their infant baby and an 8 year old daughter. The girls were buried alive! Then He reported to the police that an uncle killed the kids. 15 days later, another family member died. When they went to bury him, they found the 2 little girls under the sand - ALIVE! The country is outraged over the incident, and the man will be executed. The older girl was asked how she had survived and she says 'A man wearing shiny clothes, with bleeding wounds in his hands, came every day to feed us. He woke up my mom so she could nurse my sister,' she said. She was interviewed on Egyptian National TV, by availed Muslim woman news anchor. She said on public TV, 'This was none other than JESUS, because nobody else does things like this!'. Muslims believe Isa (JESUS) would do this, but the wounds mean He really was crucified, and it's clear also that He is alive! But, it's also clear that the child could not make up a story like this, and there is no way these children could have survived without a true miracle. Muslim leaders are going to have a hard time to figure out what to do with this, and the popularity of the Passion movie doesn't help! With Egypt at the centre of the media and education in the Middle East , you can be sure this story will spread. Christ is still turning the world upside down! Please let this story be shared.

Sy het geslag en wyn reggesit, sy het haar tafel gedek en haar bediendes na die stad toe gestuur om van die hoogste plek af te roep: “Kom hiernatoe, almal wat nog moet leer!” En vir dié wat kennis kortkom, het sy gesê: “Kom eet by my, kom drink van die wyn wat ek reggesit het! Spreuke 9:1-5 Vir wie is hierdie maaltyd? Luister na die dienaars van wysheid. Hulle nooi slegte mense en verstandelose mense. Dit is mense wat min kennis het om die Here te dien. Sulke mense word na die maaltyd genooi. Soos Jesus self die tollenaars en die sondaars na sy tafel genooi het. Dit word tog 'n wonderlike geselskap wat om die tafel van wysheid kom sit. Sondaars, swakkelinge, niksnutte, bedrieërs en rondlopers. 'n Mens sou verwag dat diegene wat by die tafel aansit darem eers hul lewe moes verander en regruk. Tog mag die sondaars net so aansit. Niemand hoef hom- of haarself eers “reg te ruk” en te verander nie. Op elke sitplek aan die tafel staan geskryf: gereserveer vir 'n goddelose. Mense wat so oor hulleself dink, kan gratis gaan sit. Is Jesus nie 'n goeie gasheer nie? Dit is interessant om te sien dat die dienaars van hoë plekke af roep sodat selfs die mense wat ver staan, kan hoor. Al is hulle nie letterlik ver nie, staan hulle soms figuurlik ver, skepties teenoor Jesus. Soos die tollenaar wat ver gestaan het, skepties oor Jesus se prediking en lewe (Lukas 18:13). Die mense wat kom aansit om te eet en te drink, kry kosbare voedsel. Van versoening en vergewing, tot herstel en vernuwing. Van ewige lewe. Aan hierdie tafel is daar genoeg. Die beker loop oor (Psalm 23:5). Daar is ook blydskap aan die tafel. Die wyn wat gedrink word, verheug die harte. In die wyn lê daar iets feesteliks. Daar is 'n gemoedelikheid onder die gaste wat mekaar heel moontlik nie eers ken nie. Hulle voel tuis en welkom. Die gaste staan op na die ete – vol verwondering. Hulle kan verder op hul lewensreis gaan. 'n Dankbare lied kom op uit hul harte en hulle sing: “Ek sal U altyd loof vir wat U gedoen het. Voor u dienaars sal ek u Naam prys, want U is goed” (Psalm 52:11). Gebed: Here, u gasvryheid verstom ons. Dankie dat hierdie ryk belaaide tafel 'n beeld is van die geestelike voedsel wat U vir ons berei. Help ons om elke dag uit hierdie gulle voorsiening van U te leef – van versoening en vergewing, van herstel en vernuwing. Amen

Sy het geslag en wyn reggesit, sy het haar tafel gedek en haar bediendes na die stad toe gestuur om van die hoogste plek af te roep: “Kom hiernatoe, almal wat nog moet leer!” En vir dié wat kennis kortkom, het sy gesê: “Kom eet by my, kom drink van die wyn wat ek reggesit het! Spreuke 9:1-5 Vir wie is hierdie maaltyd? Luister na die dienaars van wysheid. Hulle nooi slegte mense en verstandelose mense. Dit is mense wat min kennis het om die Here te dien. Sulke mense word na die maaltyd genooi. Soos Jesus self die tollenaars en die sondaars na sy tafel genooi het. Dit word tog 'n wonderlike geselskap wat om die tafel van wysheid kom sit. Sondaars, swakkelinge, niksnutte, bedrieërs en rondlopers. 'n Mens sou verwag dat diegene wat by die tafel aansit darem eers hul lewe moes verander en regruk. Tog mag die sondaars net so aansit. Niemand hoef hom- of haarself eers “reg te ruk” en te verander nie. Op elke sitplek aan die tafel staan geskryf: gereserveer vir 'n goddelose. Mense wat so oor hulleself dink, kan gratis gaan sit. Is Jesus nie 'n goeie gasheer nie? Dit is interessant om te sien dat die dienaars van hoë plekke af roep sodat selfs die mense wat ver staan, kan hoor. Al is hulle nie letterlik ver nie, staan hulle soms figuurlik ver, skepties teenoor Jesus. Soos die tollenaar wat ver gestaan het, skepties oor Jesus se prediking en lewe (Lukas 18:13). Die mense wat kom aansit om te eet en te drink, kry kosbare voedsel. Van versoening en vergewing, tot herstel en vernuwing. Van ewige lewe. Aan hierdie tafel is daar genoeg. Die beker loop oor (Psalm 23:5). Daar is ook blydskap aan die tafel. Die wyn wat gedrink word, verheug die harte. In die wyn lê daar iets feesteliks. Daar is 'n gemoedelikheid onder die gaste wat mekaar heel moontlik nie eers ken nie. Hulle voel tuis en welkom. Die gaste staan op na die ete – vol verwondering. Hulle kan verder op hul lewensreis gaan. 'n Dankbare lied kom op uit hul harte en hulle sing: “Ek sal U altyd loof vir wat U gedoen het. Voor u dienaars sal ek u Naam prys, want U is goed” (Psalm 52:11). Gebed: Here, u gasvryheid verstom ons. Dankie dat hierdie ryk belaaide tafel 'n beeld is van die geestelike voedsel wat U vir ons berei. Help ons om elke dag uit hierdie gulle voorsiening van U te leef – van versoening en vergewing, van herstel en vernuwing. Amen

Ek gaan dit so kort as moontlik hou. Op 15 Julie ontvang ek ‘n sms wat sê “iemand van my bank gaan my nou skakel en my mobile banking opdateer”. ‘n Uur later skakel ‘n swart man my wat dadelik bevestig dat ek geen inligting aan hom moet gee nie want hulle wil dit wat op die sisteem is net aan my herhaal, waarna ek gratis lugtyd sal ontvang vir my samewerking. Die man het die volgende aan my genoem: My huis adres, my id, my bank rekening nommer, my selfoon en werk nommer, die werksplek bevestig, wanneer en waar ek lenings en spaar fondse het, wanneer ek my talking points oorgeskakel het na sms bundels, wanneer ek groot bedrae oor betaal het en wou baie vriendelik weet of ek nie ‘n lening wil oorweeg nie. Hy was uiters profesioneel en baie bekwaam. Na ons oproep waarin ek aan hom geen inligting gegee het nie – het ek ‘n sms ontvang wat aan my gratis lugtyd van R150 bevestig. Ek is ongelooflik beindruk en laat dit daar. Na ‘n ruk bel die man my weer om net te bevestig of ek die lugtyd gekry het. Vanaf daardie oproep kon ek glad nie meer my foon gebruik nie. My identiteit, sim en selfoon nommer is gehack!! Ek het probeer what’s up wat nie gewerk het nie! Iets het vir my gese daar is fout!! Ek het dadelik vodacom gebel waar ek ingelig is ek bestaan nie – my foon is nie meer op my naam of gerica op my besonderhede nie. Toe weet ek hier is moeilikheid – bel my bank – te laat!! Elke liewe sent is vanuit my rekening getrek, R2000 lugtyd is vanuit bank oorbetaal aan ‘n geslote rekening. My oortrokke fasiliteit wat ek nooit gebruik, behalwe in uiters noodsaaklike gevalle – is verhoog na R13 000 en oorgeplaas na my spaar rekening en vandaar weer na 4 ander rekeninge wat almal geopen en gesluit is. My balans in my bankrekening is gevat en my rekening is gesluit. Dit het my die hele dag gister gevat net om my bank rekening weer ontblok te kry, weer kommunikasie te kry en ‘n polisie saak te open.
